As I live with a native Italian speaker, I'm having some fun with words that I learn.
For example, I keep mixing up words that start with "pap", as they are all so similar. Did you know that Donald Duck is called "little duck", aka paperino in Italian? The European Donald stories are written by Italian authors, by the way.
There is a joke popular among northern Italian children: What underwear do Americans wear? Reply: in the front is written: use (it) — usa, in the back is written smell (it) — nasa.
And what better than a language that has a proper word for people who like cats?
